| Thank you for visiting Jones Chihuahuas. We have always loved Chihuahuas. I (Theresa) grew up with my parents breeding Chihuahuas. They are my passion. We are located in Pickardville, Alberta, Canada, one hr north of Edmonton. We have been breeding since 1995 and are members of the Canadian Kennel Club. We register all our pups and the registration papers belong to the pupp/dog. The dogs that we sell as pets are sold on a non breeding contract (our contract and the C.K.C.contract as well. Other pups are sold for show and for breeding. All dogs are sold on a written Health Guarantee and Veterinarian Certificate. They take home their baby blanket, favourite toy, one weeks amount of food and a CD with video and pictures of the pup/dog from birth to the time the dog goes to their new home. Our dogs are first and foremost family pets. We take pride in our breeding techniques and chosen males that will compliment our females. Health is a priority in both the females as will as the males used for studs. All the dogs that we use for breeding match the Chihuahua standard, because of this we keep a waiting list for our pups/dogs. To make sure that our females' health is never at risk, pre and post natal care is another priority. If a female has to have a c-section she is spayed after she has her pup and soon after is pet homed. After the pups are born they receive their first Veterinarian's check up. Their next check up is after their dewclaws are removed, which is at three days old. At seven weeks of age they are tattooed and have their third Vet check. Between nine and ten weeks of age, depending on their size, they go back for their fourth vet check and to get their first set of shots. Our pups are sold between the age of nine and fourteen weeks old depending on the size of the pup. We do not interbreed our dogs. Our pups grow to an adult size of between three to six lbs. We stand by our breeding 100%. Our focus is to make sure that the home that our pups/dogs are going to is a well matched placement. Only when we have matched a family with a pup/dog will we take a deposit. Once a pup/dog is chosen, we require a deposit of $300.00 to hold a pup/dog, this deposit is non refundable and part of the purchase price of the pup/dog. There is no deposit to be put on a waiting list for a pup/adult, we just would need some information about you and your family. |
